Software Engineer Intern (Nest.JS & React)

Are you the right fit?

  • Final-year university student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Some prior hands-on project work (academic, personal, or internship) using React (with TypeScript) and/or NestJS.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, ask questions, and work in a remote, distributed environment.
  • Good communication skills (you’ll regularly synchronise with a Melbourne-based team).

Your role and responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Tech Lead and development team to implement new features in our platform (front-end and back-end).
  • Write clean TypeScript code in our front-end stack (React + TypeScript) and/or back-end (NestJS, Prisma ORM).
  • Support automated testing (unit/integration) and help maintain the quality of code.
  • Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and the full development lifecycle of real-world software.
  • Learn professional software engineering practices: version control, CI/CD, observability, deployment, collaboration across time zones.
